This week, on Wednesday 28 September, Rt Hon Charles Kennedy MP will visit Leeds North West, the constituency of Greg Mulholland MP.
Charles Kennedy will be meeting various community leaders in the area taking part in Multi-Faith Community Meeting and will also visit the site of the so-called 'bomb-factory' on Alexandra Grove.
Commenting on his planned trip to Leeds, Charles said:
"It will be an opportunity for me to be able to again touch base with the local Muslim community and the leadership figures within that wider community. While we need an agreed national strategy, we also need local delivery to make it work. "
"And so it makes sense, particularly when we have just elected an MP in that very constituency, for the Party leader at an early opportunity to be there to reassure people of our interest."
Commenting on Charles' pending visit to Leeds, Greg said:
"I hope to show Charles the tremendous solidarity shown in the community since July 12. We hope to be visiting some of the local shops in the area, where evacuees were offered shelter and refreshments and the true spirit of the local community was demonstrated on that day."
