NEW MP ANNOUNCES SURGERY DETAILS

May 31, 2005 12:00 AM

Greg Mulholland - the new MP for Leeds North West - has announced details of his surgeries. He will be available all over the constituency on a regular basis for local residents to meet him and raise problems and concerns.

On the first weekend of the month (next weekend being the first weekend in June), he will hold surgeries at the Cardigan Centre in Headingley from 2pm until 3pm on Friday, and at Asda in Holt Park on Saturday from 11am to 12:30pm

Mulholland thanked Asda for agreeing to host the event: "I am delighted that Asda have kindly offered me use of an office at the front of their store. I hope that local residents will find it an easy place to approach me with any problems they need help with."

For the first time, there will be a monthly surgery in Bramhope - to be held at the Robert Craven Hall from 3pm to 4pm on the 3rd Friday of every month.

Greg Mulholland said, "I wanted to make sure that I am available to help everyone in the constituency. As MP, I have promised to work for everyone in all of our different communities. I will do so to the best of my ability."

Another regular surgery will be held at the Otley Civic Centre from 11am to 12:30pm on the 3rd Saturday of every month. The first of these surgeries will be on 18th June - coinciding with the Otley Carnival.

Greg said: "I am delighted to confirm the details of a surgery in Otley. It is especially pleasing to be able to hold the first event on the day of the carnival. I am sure we will have a busy day, and I hope I will be able to meet as many people as possible. And of course I will look forward to enjoying the rest of the carnival afterwards!"

A surgery will also be held at the Meanwood Community Centre, and is provisionally booked for 1:30pm to 2:30pm on the third Friday of each month. Further surgeries will be held for Greg Mulholland's constituency office

If you are a resident of the Leeds North West constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
