Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West today welcomed the news that Bramhope Post Office will resume business on the 2nd December. The Post Office has been closed since May and this has caused great difficulties to many Bramhope residents.
Greg has campaigned energetically for the reopening of the Post Office and has recently held high level talks with senior representatives of Royal Mail to try and resolve this issue.
Greg said "I am delighted and relieved to hear at last that Bramhope Post office will reopen. It is a vital community resource and I am really pleased that the Royal Mail has responded to the wishes of the residents of Bramhope.
Post offices are very important feature of many local communities and we must work hard to protect them. Many residents of Bramhope were dependent upon this facility and it is great news that we have saved it and credit must go to all those who have backed the campaign"
