Greg Mulholland, MP for Leeds North West, has shown his support for a key initiative in the fight against climate change by signing a Parliamentary motion calling for urgent action on the effects of global warming and damage to the environment.
The Bill will set legally binding targets for reducing energy usage by businesses and further targets to increase the production of energy production from renewable sources.
Commenting Greg said: "The need for urgent action to cut our carbon emissions is greater than ever.
The Government has finally acknowledged that we need far more if we are to meet our climate change targets of a 20% reduction in C02 emissions by 2010.
I fully support the Climate Change Bill; it ensures that businesses will be forced to account for the energy they use and will make industry far more environmentally friendly.
The sooner it becomes law, the better."
