Greg Mulholland-Working Hard For Leeds North WestMULHOLLAND URGES HEADINGLEY RESIDENTS TO HAVE THEIR SAY AT LEEDS GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL PUBLIC MEETING

Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West is urging local residents to attend a public meeting at the Cardigan Centre about the Leeds Girls High School site this Thursday at 7:30pm.
Greg will attend the meeting organised by Leeds Girls High School Action Group and the Headingley Councillors. A representative from the developers will also be in attendance.
The meeting will discuss the recent planning applications on the site of the old Leeds Girls High School which closed last year. The application has caused uproar amongst local residents as it will see a large amount of housing built on the old school playing field site.
Greg said "I hope many local residents will come to the meeting and let the developers know what they think of the plan. The planning application is totally unacceptable and completely fails to take into account the needs of the local community. "
Councillor Martin Hamilton (Lib Dem, Headingley) echoed these views adding "The school has let Headingley down with these plans. Leeds Girls High School needs to look at this again and come up with something which is more acceptable to the local community."
