Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West, is attending the launch of the MND Association Year of Care Pathway. MND is an incurable condition that paralyses the muscles leaving people unable to do the everyday things most of us take for granted and the MND Association offers help to sufferers of the condition and their families.
The year plan, as set out in the recently published document, sets out all of the health and social care services someone with MND may require in their final year of life, is being hailed as a must have for all those involved in the provision of MND services.
Commenting on the project, Greg said:
"I am delighted to have been invited to the launch of this important initiative that looks set to introduce very welcome changes to those who are affected by the condition."
"MND is a horrible disease, so anything that improves the care of sufferers is most welcome."
"I hope the launch will also raise the profile of the work the MND association does, they are a fantastic charity who do really great work for the MND patients."
