Greg Mulholland, MP for Leeds North West, recently visited Pool-in-Wharfedale Primary School and hosted a mock Parliament with a Year 6 class, attempting to educate children about the way government works and his role as a Member of Parliament. The issue that was debated by the children focussed on school discipline and law and order.
Speaking at the event Greg Mulholland said: "Mock Parliaments are a great way for me to explain how Parliament works to my younger constituents. I was delighted with the way the mock Parliament went, we had a lively debate on School Discipline and it was great to be the one shouting "Order! Order!" for once"
"These events are also a great way to explain to the children what my job as a constituency MP involves and raise awareness of issues concerning them and their area"
