WALKERS ARE WELCOME LAUNCH A BIG SUCCESS" - MULHOLLAND

Otley MP Greg Mulholland attended the opening of the official opening of walkers are welcome in Otley this weekend. The launch also included the unveiling of a new leaflet which has been designed to show some of the finest walks around Otley.

Walkers are welcome is a status that has been granted to Otley. Walkers are Welcome towns and villages are places which have something special to offer walkers. Obtaining Walkers are Welcome status helps strengthen a town's reputation as a place for visitors to come to enjoy the outdoors, bringing benefits to the local economy. It helps to ensure that footpaths and facilities for walkers are maintained in good condition, benefiting local people as well as visitors.
