Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West has today backed residents calls for environmental impact assessment into the planned expansion of Leeds Bradford Airport. Residents of Bramhope and Arthington are particularly concerned about the impact the Airport expansion will have on traffic in their villages.
Greg said "Bramhope and Arthington already suffer traffic problems and the expansion can only make things worse. Therefore I believe it is absolutely vital that a proper study in conducted to identify the issues and propose solutions.
This is a situation that must be resolved in the best interests of the residents of Bramhope and Arthington. Worsening an already problematic traffic problem is unacceptable, so it is vital a solution is found prior to any expansion.
