Greg Mulholland MP has expressed his sympathy for the family of 13-year old Imogen D'Arcy, after the inquest into her death concluded this week.
Imogen hanged herself with a computer lead after scouring sites on the internet devoted to suicide.
Commenting Greg said:
"Once again I express my heartfelt condolences to the family who have suffered this devastating tragedy.
"I also pay tribute to the family, who despite suffering this unimaginable loss, want to highlight Imogen's case and the problem of suicide websites, to prevent other young people from taking their lives. This is enormously courageous.
"This issue is now firmly on the political agenda, and as a result of meeting with Susan I helped form a new All Party Group on Suicide Prevention in Parliament, and I will continue do all I can to push this issue.
"Anything that can be done must be done to stop these websites that promote suicide, and action must be taken against any individual who is caught encouraging young people to take their own life."
