Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West today visited the Royal Mail sorting office in Cookridge. Greg was there to show his support for the staff at the sorting office who are working round the clock to get Christmas cards and presents out in time for Christmas day.
Greg, who was invited by the Royal Mail to see firsthand the challenges that the Royal Mail faces at this time of year, said "I was really pleased to be invited to the Royal Mail sorting office. It really was very interesting to see how the sorting office works and they are able to get the millions of cards and presents out to people in such a short space of time."
Greg also paid tribute to Royal Mail staff adding "They clearly work very hard as it was an absolute hive of activity in there. They very much deserve to be applauded for their efforts at this time of the year."
