MULHOLLAND TAKES PART IN WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT

Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West helped Otley school children take part in an attempt to set a new banana eating world record. Children at Otley All Saints were also celebrating being awarded the Fairtrade Foundation's Best Fairtrade Fortnight Campaign for their 'Big Banana Bonanza' campaign which culminated in a 'Bananas in Pyjamas' day.

Greg donated a House of Commons Fairtrade raffle prize and took part in the record attempt by eating a Fairtrade banana.

Greg said; "This is a marvellous event which highlights the importance of the Fairtrade Foundation and the work it does in a fun way.

The children and staff of Otley All Saints deserve the recognition the Foundation has given them for this innovative campaign."
