Commenting Greg said:
"This is the biggest physical challenge I have ever undertaken. I came up with the idea of this some time ago and am delighted that with the support of our event partners we are going to attempt this. We are hoping people will sponsor us and help us raise as much money as we can for these three excellent local charities."
Councillor Ryk Downes said:
"I have done marathons before and long walks, but this will be an even greater challenge, but I am confident that if we train hard we can complete the challenge and support these three important charities."
Martin Rivett of Leeds Metropolitian University added:
"We're all very excited about the prospect of undertaking this unique challenge and I am looking forward to the two events and raising as much money as we can".
