Greg Mulholland, MP for Leeds North West, donated a bottle of signed House of Commons wine as a prize for the High Farm Inn's charity event held on Saturday 11th April. The High Farm Inn in Holt Park staged the event as part of efforts to raise funds for the treatment 20 year old Holt Park resident Jane Little who has a brain tumour.
Greg presents the raffel prize to Tony and Tina Groves.
Greg said: "I am very pleased to be able to donate to this prize for the raffle. It's very nice to see the pub and it's regulars make a real effort to help Jane and I'm glad I could help.
Greg also visited as part of the celebrations of Cask Ale Week. Cask Ale Week was celebrated across the UK and saw a world record attempt for the world's biggest toast take place on the Saturday.
Greg said;
"Tony and Tina Groves have done an excellent job making the High Farm Inn a great community pub. Pubs are often at the heart of their local communities and they are feeling the pinch in the current economic climate. It is important to support them through these hard times and Cask Ale Week is a good way of highlighting the importance they have."
