"ANOTHER FINE MESS THE PRIME MINISTER HAS GOT US INTO" - MULHOLLAND

Greg Mulholland the Liberal Democrat MP for Leeds North West spoke yesterday in the expenses debate in Parliament and questioned the Government's handling of the issue of MP's expenses.

Slamming the Government handling of this important matter, Greg said;

"We need reform of the system to stamp out the kind of abuses we have seen but instead Gordon Brown came up with ill considered and half baked proposals then dropped the main one of them!

This is another fine mess the Prime Minister has gotten us into. If he wanted to show real leadership he would start by sacking ministers who have been abusing the system."
