Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West attended the Bramhope Annual Parish Meeting in his constituency last Wednesday. The Annual Parish Meeting took a new form this year: it was held as a separate event to the Parish Council Meeting, thus providing a forum for residents and councillors to get together and discuss local issues.
Commenting, Greg said;
"The meeting was a great occasion and a very good way of engaging with the people of Bramhope.
The meeting allowed Bramhope residents to hold their local councillors to account, asking questions and making suggestions for improvements in the village. It was a demonstration of local democracy at its best.
I would like to congratulate Geoff Mills and the other parish councillors for hosting the meeting for all the hard work they do for the village throughout the year."
