Greg Mulholland, MP for Leeds North West, joined the pupils of Bramhope Primary School for this year's scarecrow hunt which had an American theme. Pupils designed and made scarecrows inspired by American Independence Day ranging from cowboys to Disney characters like Minnie Mouse for the 'Great American Scarecrow Hunt'.
The Scarecrow Hunt was followed by Bramhope Primary's annual Summer Fair which also had an American theme. Greg praised the organisers for arranging events which were very well-attended and supported by the local community.
Greg said;
"The pupils, staff and parents at Bramhope Primary have put a lot of effort into making this day the huge success it has been. It was excellent to see their efforts rewarded with so many people from the local community turning out to enjoy what was a fun day for all the family and help raise funds for the school.
The Scarecrow Hunt was an excellent lead-up to the Summer Fair. Both events were a great success and it was a pleasure to be able to attend. "
