Commenting on Government proposals for 'no fee degrees', Liberal Democrat MP for Leeds North West Greg Mulholland said:
"Once again the Government dresses up a half-baked policy as an idea to help students
By abolishing fees for people who are able to stay at home ministers are letting what people can afford affect what they study. People should be able to study the subject they want where they want regardless of how well off they are.
The Government needs to learn that the only way to ensure that it is not only the wealthy who are able to study is to abolish tuition fees altogether."
