MULHOLLAND CONCERNED ABOUT DISEASED RODENTS IN LEEDS

Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West has written to the secretary of State for the department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs expressing his concern that Siberian Chipmunks, which can carry diseases have been spotted in Leeds North West.

Commenting Greg said:

"Siberian Chipmunks may look cute, but they present a real public hazard, as they can pass on Lyme Disease.

I am of course concerned that they have been spotted in Cookridge and am urging the Government and local authorities to do all they can to contain this outbreak."
