Mulholland warns Chris Mole: "Time your visit to Leeds carefully".

September 15, 2009 10:28 PM

Greg Mulholland, MP for Leeds North West has been campaigning tirelessly for improved public transport for Leeds and Yorkshire as a whole.

Upon hearing that Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport Chris Mole MP was visiting the city to see the problems for himself Greg had this stark warning:

"If he is travelling by train he will have to be very careful about how he times it, most of the trains operating at peak times are full to capacity, he might not get on!

"Of course the trains at other times of the day aren't much better, all down to the fact that this government has not invested properly in providing the extra carriages we need to cope with the huge numbers of people travelling in and out of Leeds by train.

"Hopefully Chris will have such an uncomfortable trip that he will realise there is only one solution to the problem, give us our carriages!"

If you are a resident of the Leeds North West constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
