The Liberal Democrats took the fight to the Government today during the debate on climate change, challenging the Government's record on the issue.
Local MP Greg Mulholland spoke at the debate challenging the Government on their environmental record.
Greg Mulholland MP and his team have used this opportunity to make the 10:10 pledge. The pledge means that the office is going to have to reduce its carbon emissions by 10% by 2010.
Commenting Greg said,
"This was a great opportunity for me to hold the Government to account during the debate on their lamentable record on the environment.
"This Government likes to talk big on climate change but ultimately we are seeing very little change in their approach to environmental issues.
"The Department for Energy and Climate change has been regrettably ineffective, each citizen needs to take responsibility for their own actions on an issue like this, that is why my team and I have signed up to the 10:10 challenge.
"I am very confident that as a team we can reduce our carbon output by 10% by next year."
