Mulholland Backs Quality Bus Contract Scheme

Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West has put forward a motion in parliament praising the "Quality Bus Contract Scheme" which will see the introduction of a franchised bus service in Leeds.

Commenting Greg said:

"These quality contracts represent a chance for the people of Leeds to enjoy the same level of bus service that the people of London have been enjoying for years.

"I hope that there will be a degree of pressure on bus operators to justify cutting services especially when those routes remain economically viable.

"Bus travel is an important mode of public transport and we need to do all we can to encourage people on the busses."
