Mulholland celebrates Arena Funding

Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West has been leading efforts in Parliament to secure funding for an arena in Leeds and has tabled a motion celebrating the fact that funding has finally been secured.

Greg has worked closely with the Yorkshire Evening Posts "Leeds Needs and Arena" campaign has held meetings with Business Minister Pat McFadden and raised the arena during a parliamentary debate all as part of his consistent lobbying for funding to be granted.

Commenting, Greg said:

"Fantastic, after jumping over a lot of hurdles, we finally have been granted the funding to build an arena we can all be proud of.

"I want to congratulate all those who worked so hard to secure this funding, the YEP, Yorkshire Forward and Leeds City Council.

"I have tabled this Early Day Motion because I want my colleagues in Parliament to know just how hard we all worked to achieve this outcome which is going to be so beneficial to Leeds."
