Greg Mulholland, MP for Leeds North West and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Save the Pub Group, today saw his Private Member's Bill, which he tabled in 2008, become law.
The Bill was aimed at ensuring that pubs, bars and nightclubs offered customers the choice of a 125ml size wine glass along side other more commonly used sizes such as 175ml and 250ml.
Commenting Greg said:
"This is a great success and represents the sum total of a great deal of work.
"It is important that people have the choice between 125ml, 175ml and 250ml, this is all about consumer choice.
"I also think it is important to have a standardised set of wine measures across the country, so that people know wherever they go the options that are available to them."
