Along with Councillor Ryk Downes and Martin Rivett of Leeds Metropolitan University I am attempting the Carnegie '126 Mile Challenge' to raise money for three local charities. This challenge is to complete two endurance feats within a month, one of running - a marathon (26 miles & 385 yards) and one of walking - the annual 'Hundred' 100 mile challenge walk (100 miles in 48 hours) organised by the Long Distance Walkers Association.
We are raising money for three excellent charities :-
Wheatfields Hospice in Headingley
Kidz in Kampz, based in Holt Park who run camps for orphaned displaced children in the Far East
The Wharfedale Hospital Special Medical Equipment Fund which raises money for special medical equipment at the hospital.
Please support me and the team and visit our website at http://www.126milechallenge.co.uk.
