When Greg Mulholland discovered that Cookridge Pastures in his constituency was owned by a 'landbanking' firm and being sold off in small plots he decided to take action.
Working with the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England he fought to stop the sell-off.
In 2008 the campaign against landbanking had a big success with the winding-up of UK Land Investments, one of the biggest firms in the country.
