Two candidates came together to share campaigning tips as Greg Mulholland, standing to be re-elected in Leeds North West, and Joey Grindrod, standing in his school election also on June 8th, met at the former MP's office.

After contacting Greg on social media, Joey, a pupil at Cardinal Heenan High School then visited the office to talk tactics as well as taking away some resources to help him with his own campaign. Joey and Greg

Joey also spoke to members of Greg's team to understand how an election campaign works and some of the tactics that parties use to motivate voters. Everyone on Greg's team wishes Joeythe best of luck in the school election.

Greg said,

"I was so impressed when Joey contacted me and explained that he was standing for the Liberal Democrats in his school election. As someone who was involved in political campaigning as a teenager, I'm inspired when I see young people, like Joey, standing up for what they believe in and engaging with the political system."

"There's lots of talk of disengagement with the political system, particularly from younger people. Joey is evidence that that isn't the case and I look forward to talking with him again as his interest in politics develops."
